Making regulation work inside real banks.
Senior advisor with more than 30 years in Nordic banking — former CRO, KPMG partner and Basel II IRB program lead. Now partner in Imperion, leading credit risk, capital and reporting.

About
Banks rarely fail on knowledge. They fail on execution — when the policy says one thing and the credit file says another.
For most of my career I have worked where credit risk, capital and regulation meet: IRB models, IFRS 9, ICAAP, risk appetite, and making Basel rules work in daily operations. I have built risk departments from the ground up, sat in senior management teams, and acted as a trusted counterpart to boards, owners and supervisors.
My background is quantitative — PhD studies in quantitative finance at NHH, where I also lectured in interest rate models — but my work is practical: translating complex regulatory requirements into governance that is board-ready and actually used.
Imperion
Four specialists. One team. Work that closes Finanstilsynet's findings rather than describing them.
In autumn 2026 I co-founded Imperion, a network of senior specialists for Nordic financial institutions facing tilsynsrapporter, Pilar 2 decisions and SREP letters. Our focus is delivery: closing findings in credit, governance, compliance and AML — not producing another report about them.
